Narnian Adventure

Fans of C. S. Lewis' book should appreciate the way Disney followed most of the allegorical details. Tilda Swinton's witch projects enough cold to freeze the landscape. The rest of the cast acquitted themselves credibly, and the special effects bring to life the storybook wonder of Narnia.

At bottom, "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" revolves around Aslan, and this adaptation effectively communicates that presence. The computer generated lion looks sufficiently otherworldly, and Liam Neeson provided an appropriately grand and compassionate voice. This accomplishment alone makes the project worthwhile.
